Responding to people is generally done in comments, not at the footer or header of a new blog post (FF.net has ingrained that into too many writers). Anyway, I read 2.1 chapters of OBB. It's pretty well written! It seems like you have some solid ideas of where you want things to go, so that's pretty awesome. I'm finding it as not my cup of tea, simply because I see too much similarity in what's happening. First kill, untapped power, all make fine plot points but the gravity and consequences of these characters' actions seems lacking, in my opinion, typical of the story's inspirations. This has nothing to do with your writing ability in terms of mechanics, just with your choice in plot and setting. I'll read more when I get a moment, but I seriously hope you focus on finishing it at some point, if you're writing for something other than fun.
