Look, I’m Just Really Bored Sometimes
Long time no see, very few readers and amazingly large amount of spam bots! It’s been a long and dusty road to finishing chapter 11 of OBB, but I finally did it! Surprising, huh? I never thought I would be able to finish it with the way things have been going lately. Either way, I finished with this one and I’m almost finished with Tugend und Laster 3, so I hope you’re looking forward it! As usual, leave any comments or suggestions you have! Okay thanks bye.
Here it is, due to popular demand (1)! The other chapters of One Big Blast are rar’d and ready for download! Note that it’s been inspired by the Tales series (Tales of Vesperia, Tales of the Abyss, etc.), so you might notice some similarities in it. It’s also rather…I dunno, it’s kind of weird at times. lololol you don’t actually know what this is. OBB (One Big Blast) is actually my main project right now and the thing I’m trying (emphasis on trying) to work on and finish. It’s…not going swimmingly but I’ll still power through any writer’s blocks that stand in my way. I’ll try to have the previous chapters up on this blog sometime, but /lazy.

I’m sure this will come as great joy to all you readers out there (0) as well as those spambots (more than I expected), but I finished with the opening/first chapter of a new story I’m writing. If you’ve got the time, download it and check it out and leave an actual comment in the comments section. As for the summary of my work, I think I’ll copy-paste what I wrote up somewhere else to serve as an outline of what I wanted to make (more like a set of guidelines). I suppose it’ll do as a basic summary.

(Setting is some sort of school, possibly something similar to Academy City from To Aru or Utopia City in Shitsurakuen. I want to get the feel of expansive school area where there’s a variety of things to do and different locations for the characters to visit. I half want it to be floating. Either way, the students routinely participate in various “wars of character”, where groups of students (classified by grade, age, etc.) combat one another to inherit the right to possess the Pearl Gate (some random MacGuffin that does something important enough to wage wars over). However, these wars are not fought with the traditional weapons or magic. Instead, each student is equipped with something called a “Mirror”, which looks within your heart and categorizes your rank among the 7 Virtues and 7 Sins. Depending on whether or not you tend towards the Virtue or the Sin, the weapon you are given to fight changes. There doesn’t seem to be any real relation between Sin/Virtue and the weapon you receive, but the greater the Sin/Virtue the more powerful your weapon is. Thus some of the strongest students indulge in either Sin or Virtue to become the strongest.)

I’ve always wondered what I should do with this blog. After all, the only things I really do are complain/talk about various anime and games and even that I can’t really do constantly. So I decided to change this blog towards the one thing I’m kind of passionate about! Namely writing. That’s right, this is gonna be a half-showcase my writing/half-talking about anime and games blog. Boring, isn’t it? Well, that’s what I wanna do so I’m gonna do it! If you’re ever interested in seeing what I can do, simply read some of the chapters of my stuff and I”ll update whenever I have a new chapter of whatever story ready. This post will serve as the repository of all the chapters I’ve already finished, so keep an eye out as I slowly update it with new chapters!

Hey, I’ve always been wondering what the hell I’d do with this blog besides use it as a home for my Supporteil add-on. I mean, I could talk about lots of things like how silly Fox News is with its teabagging or how awesome Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert is. Or how Scrubs is kickass and I love watching it during work (don’t do this, by the way. Bad habit. Do as I say, not as I do). Or even about the various new anime that’s coming out this season and I definitely enjoy.
So I decided to totally not choose at all and talk about whatever the fuck I feel like. So for right now…let’s talk about games! Cause a couple of days ago, I have gained a Xbox 360! It is truly amazing for now my apartment is graced with all three next-gen systems! The Wii (which has like 5 games I consider good), the PS3 (which is totally not mine and really only has like…less games I would want), and the Xbox 360 (which I don’t trust with RPGs at all). To be honest, they may be new gen systems with their AWESOME GRAPHICS (Wii didn’t sign up for that) and stuff, but the PS2 is still my favorite system until like…more RPGs get released. But enough of my preferences. It’s talking about something more specific time.
So…since there’s really nothing in anime I really want to talk about except how I like a ton of the new shows, especially Saki (if only for my delicious lesbian mahjong action), I’ll talk about Star Ocean 4! At least a couple of thoughts. Probably random spoilers ahead.
The first Star Ocean game I ever played was Till the End of Time, which I’ve heard from other SO fans who’ve actually played SO1 and SO2 say was not particularly good. I…really didn’t know why. Maybe I should actually play the earlier ones. I mean, I have SO1 lying right next to me now. I’ll play it later. But the thing is, I liked SO3. Maybe it was the characters (I love Maria so much it’s not funny) or the cheezy “WE’RE ALL PART OF SOME PERSON’S GAME!” twist at the end or even the “We’re flying a giant magicannon-carrying dragon against alien battleships in an awesome battle!” scene, but I’ll stand by my “I like SO3″ stance. I doubt it’d ever drop…but hey, maybe the first two games are just so awesome that I’ll be totally blown away. We’ll see.
As for SO4…I’ve seen some vids, watching some attack movies and the like. I’m not particularly far in the game so I guess I can’t speak about much (so I won’t), but even now there’s a couple of things I’ve noticed about it. The plot itself is nice, I guess. Last hope of humanity going to find new planets to colonize. Has the typical “Dude my superior is a fat jerkass” character who you immediately loathe. The voices are fine, I guess. Nothing super special but having Rise of Persona 4 fame being the voice actor for Reimi was awesome. Edge is…fine, I guess. At some points his voice seems to just seem too…unnatural for the scene. It’s kind of odd and hard to describe. Lymle would be a lot more tolerable if she didn’t add “‘kay” to like…almost every sentence. I understand that they were quite faithful at translating the verbal tic from Japanese to English (I hope that’s what it is because if it isn’t I will be so annoyed), but seriously some verbal ticks can sound charming in Japanese while being goddamn annoying in English and ‘kay is one of those things. Seriously.
The game is really, really pretty though. I can’t doubt that. And the battle system isn’t all too bad although I definitely miss parts of SO3 (although that has to do more with Side Kick, Side Kick, Side Kick and Aiming Device, Aiming Device, Aiming Device). The Bonus Board is…eh, it’s easier to customize and in that is better, but the rewards definitely aren’t as high (which could be seen as good). Crafting is back to old basics from what I’ve seen, although I do like SO3’s system more than this one (just a little though).
Anyway, that’s it for now. I’m sure people will be upset about how I don’t like this game so far as much as I like SO3 (cause I don’t), but hey if they want to argue that’s what the comment section is for. Or they could make their own blog! Or something :V

So yeah, like, I thought I should probably make another post here. Except I have nothing to say really. Life’s been going as normal and finals are coming up and so is summer school. So life it normal! Oh yeah, I am psyched about a couple of games though. Namely Summon Night: Twin Age, Etrian Odyssey II, X-Edge, and…a lot of other things that just aren’t coming to mind. Anyway, …I guess that’s it! Well, at least now this thing has more than one post.
Kamen no Maid Guy is one of the weirdest animes I’ve ever watched.
Okay, to be honest, I never had a reason to make a blog before nor maintain one. Why? Cause I’m a lazy college student. Except now I do have a reason! Namely this thing called a Supporteil that Gust dreamed up that requires a blog to actually get. And since I needed one, well, I asked Jessica and we were all like LOL YEAH and shit like this happened.
I, of course, am a retard when it comes to html stuff and the like (I’m a Chemistry major for a reason) so basically I am going to just mess around until I figure out how to make it work. Either way, looks like I’ll be sticking around here for good so let’s get this party started.
As for what I’ll be talking about, it’ll be…uh, anything that comes to mind, really. We gots some animu and games that I would love to talk about (mainly being Mana Khemia and some other stuff…as well as X-Edge, which is such a goddamn do want for me). Also I’m definitely going to AX and possibly Australia/New Zealand for the summer, so I’m sure those’ll be fun if I don’t get poisoned and die. I…should probably put up some hilarious picture to show how awesome/retarded this blog is gonna be.
But I don’t have a properly sized picture that I feel like posting. I think that statement pretty much covers what this is gonna be like, huh?
